Winchester M-1 Carbine "T" Value

Assuming the year of manufacture, condition and parts were all identical, would a M1-Carbine with a Winchester receiver that has the "T" on it be more or less valuable then then one without it?

Thanks

Am I the only person who owns such a gun?

Possibly a little, if you are describing an "all original" carbine. If a rebuild, maybe not any difference.

While there are a few collectors who specialize in minor variations of Winchesters, Winchesters are so "hot" that folks who want just 1 may pay more than a specialist.

So, I guess the best answer is, "It depends."

Thanks for the response. My is all original (well it will be when the last two Winchester parts I won in auction show up). I had read in either the War Baby book, or Craig Reisch book where he stated that these were 'rarely seen'. So it made me think it would be have extra value in the same way and 1955 Double Die Lincoln penny is worth more than a standard 1955 penny.

The T would be the mark of a subcontractor that winchester had make recievers for them. The T would be the intertype corporation. If it is orginal then yes it would be worth more. I believe even the reciever would go for a little more if it were stripped down.

Since they made 300,000 subcontracetd Winchesters of different varations I would have to know what condition the SVDB was in before I anwser your question. I would say about 200.00 more for the reciver!
