44 mag Desert Eagle Gas Piston Problem

I have a 41/44 desert eagle and the gas piston will not stay in. Has anyone had this problem or know if I may be doing something wrong when I put it back together.

I had a similar problem, and it went away after I bought a spring kit from Magnum Research. Turns out the gun is hard on it's springs, and they need to be replaced avery few thousand rounds.
