High Standard - Hombre 9 shot .22

I have a High Standard Hombre 9 shot .22 cal and I am looking to sell it. Can someone tell me what this gun is worth? It has an engraving on one side that has a series of numbers and the date of 9-28-77. It also has w-105 (if that means anything). I was also wondering if I would be better off to sell it on this website or at a gun show. I live in Nashville and we have guns shows at least once a month. Any help is greatly appreciated.DSCN2774.jpg

Chances are that "engraving" is a previous owners drivers license or SS number. When this kind of thing is done to firearms it has a negative affect on value.

Personally I would walk the gunshow with it. You would likely to have a better chance selling it then on-line, because of the above problem. $150-$250 range if the engraving isn't to disfiguring. My 2?.

Unless you can figure out how to take photos that are better than that one, it's not likely that you will do well on an online auction. It's dark, out of focus, & no one can see the damage you described.

On the other hand, I am no longer comfortable selling guns at shows to folks I don't know. And, if you don't know the legal requirements, you could get yourself in a lot of trouble selling to an unlicensed person.

You have to decide what is best for you. But, we're not talking about a lot of money here, so you may just want to hold on to the gun.
