A co-worker of mine says his father is trying to get rid of a 1950's Stevens Double Barrel 10 ga shotgun, and told me to just make an offer, I am trying to get information on this firearm but I am coming up dry in my efforts, would anyone here be able to tell me about this gun, and perhaps provide some image links, and a rough idea of what this firearm is worth, thank you,

Assuming it is a field grade, double triggers, choked F/F, no cracks in the stock, no dings in the barrels and in average condition, I would guess $350.00 to $450.00 or there abouts. The downside to these old fowling pieces is most 1950's barrels are not suitable for steel shot, so you are stuck with other, more expensive, heavy shot for ducks or geese. For upland bird hunting, squirrels or dove hunting a 10 ga full chock is not the best tool for the purpose. Maybe a nice bush gun for deer. I recently picked up a nice Winchester model 24 in 12 ga for $435. I think the Stevens 10 ga would probably be in that price range + or - a few dollars.

edit: if it is a model 311 or l11-A more like $250-$350 may be more in line.
