I am trying to find out what the markings on my pistol mean befor I list on gunbroker, on the left there is a crown with the letters RE under it, and on the left there is a crown with FAG39.....I hope someone[img][/img][img][/img][img][/img] can help me with this

    The crown and RE means that it was for the Italian Army if I recall correctly. The FAG 39 is the production year if I recall as well. I had one of these, but it was made for the Romanians under contract. Cool gun that I miss owning.

    "FAG" is Fabbrica d'Armi di Gardone. This is quite confusing, as this marking is not usually known to be found on Beretta pistols. Perhaps it was originally issued or reworked at this facility? As Gardone is the city in Italy where Beretta is located, perhaps this was a Beretta facility or subcontractor?
