encore scope mounts

hey folks I have a Bushnell 2-6x32 Pistol Scope that I want to mount on a encore 15" 204 Im looking at a Talley one piece mount but I wanted to know if i needed the low or med. height.

    You will be fine with the low mounts. The Talley bases are pretty thick so they add a bit to the height. I have a 3-9X42 scope mounted on one of my Encore rifle barrels with the Talley one-piece low mount and I have about a 1/4" of gap at the front end.

    That being said, since you are mounting a pistol scope, height really doesn't make that much difference as you don't have to worry about cheek weld that much. If the low mount is cheaper, then go with it. If they are the same price, I will still get the low, just because you might end up using it for a rifle scope in the future.

    Only thing I can add for consideration is ease of cocking the hammer with a higher mount. I have a leupold low mount/base on mine, and even with the hammer extensions it is a little cramped, especially if you're wearing gloves. A higher mount might make it a little easier to manipulate......

    Shouldn't be a problem with a handgun scope. At least is isn't with any of my Encore or Contender pistol barrels.
