I just got me a Heritage .22 pistol 4 3/4'' bbl went out and shot it and couldnt even keep a group! It shoots to the right 4'' and low about 3'' from the bench @ 25 yds. I tried CCI, WIN, FED, REM, and they all shoot about the same spot. I have fixed sights so in fudged there. Is it just this pistol? or do they normally shoot this way? Im a rifle man to be honest. Any info would be nice.

I have no personal experience with the 4-3/4 in barrel, but I do own a 6 in model and it has fixed sights. The front sight has to be bent to adjust for windage and filed for elevation. It will shot slightly lower with magnums than with lr's. I can tell you that once I made the changes on my pistol sights as advised it will group very well at 25 yards and is one of my favorite shooters. The owners manual for mine even recommends this method of adjusting sights.

I've had 3 of these pistols and I've never had a problem with any of them. The 2nd one I got was especially cheaply made though. It looked like it had a molded hammer and the frame looks painted, but the newest one they actually put some effort into making. It shoots great, especially for the price tag.

Only one personal experience. A friends wife wanted a plinker for cans at 40-50 ft. She bought one, we took it to an indoor range and it held 1 1/2" group at 50 ft. with cheapo rem. 22's. While not a "tack driver" I was impressed for the money. She has used it in her back yard for cans for several years and had no functional problems.

Others I have "heard about" seem to like them and consider them a great plinker type gun.

I'm sure there's a lemon with all mfg'rs. You may consider contacting the factory.

    Best of luck
