What YOU Have is An ARASAKA TYPE 99 TYPE 2 takedown rifle. 7.7mm, 25" barrel. This weapon has a Screw-in Key that serves as a locking Pin. "Rifles of the World" by John Walter, identifies this rifle as a Japanese Paratroop Rifle. 25,000 were produced starting in 1943. The Japanese never produced submachine guns in sufficient quantity to equip their paratroop forces, per Walter's book.
