Been a GB user since 2002 under username (dloy) and under my current user name. My problem is a few days back I was surfing GB and found a good deal on a 75 rd drum mag.(GB auction # 96787388) So I place a bid. Upon completion of my bid I noticed that the seller was located in CHINA. I emailed seller to confirm that this was correct. I asked him of the legality of being shipped/imported into the U.S and he more or less stated that it was O.K and to check his feedback and I would see that some made it through. I am not going to trust someone in CHINA to tell me if something is legal to be imported into the U.S . To my knowledge all NORINCO and POLYTECH AK 47's are banned from importation along with other "Implements of War" and will remain so. I have not won auction as of yet. I contacted GB SUPPORT through email which stated that I would receive reply in 48hrs and that was 4 days ago. Therefore I am turning to you the experts. All I need to know is is this ILLEGAL because my gut feeling is telling me it is. thank you for you time Darin

Q: Does the expiration of the SAW ban and the
LCAFD ban affect importation?
A: LCAFDs are no longer prohibited from importation
but they are still subject to the provisions of the Arms
Export Control Act. An approved Form 6 import
permit is still required.

Don't know for sure, but somebody is importing them. They are readily available. I don't think there is any import restriction on magazines.
You show me where Chinese drums are readily available.
All munitions from China except for black poweder and shotguns were stopped by an executive order... no ban to expire, ever. Simply stopped by the pres until another president recinds the order.
If Chinese drums were legaql to import we would have them in mass quantity like the Romanian drums.
Pay attention next time! But, don't worry about it one little bit. If you win, cancel your order and take the hit. Offer to pay the guy's cost of the auction. If that's not good enough for them, oh well, you know what they say in Russia......
Don't get sucked into any deals with these offshore, Asian sellers unless the country of origin is Japan. Pass, pass, pass.
