Colt Python Trooper?

This guy has a Colt Python the serial number is T19310. What is the T stand for? John

    Well, it sure doesn't stand for Trooper. Totally different machine. Now we just have to wait for someone who knows what they're talking about to come along and tell us both what the T does stand for.[:D]

    It means your python was made in 1983. The T before the serial number started about mid-way in 83 and continued until 85' I believe.

    Yep - doesn't stand for Trooper. But the "Old Model" Trooper has the same action as the Python and started production 2 years before the Python came around in '55. Of course I presume the Trooper reference concerns the Mk III and that one really has nothing in common with the Python.
