Walther model 9

I came across this gun from a relative a few years ago. I have never fired it for fear it may blow up? With it came a Singer .25 pocket Vest auto. Same deal, never fired it. My question is, do you guys think there worth anything on a trade? I have wanted to buy that Kel-Tec .380 and wonder if a gun shop would have any interest in either? Thanks for any input. I've never seen a .25 "blow up". Malfunction, yes, but not blow up.

The Walther is well made &, in good condition, quite collectible. I'm not familiar with a Singer, but there were thousands of brands of inexpensive pocket autos.

Your local gun shop may or may not be interested in taking a trade; it all depends on what the owner believes his customers are looking for. Even if it's something he wants, he can rarely afford to give you more than half of what you could get selling on this auction site.

On the other hand, you asked questions about specific guns but failed to include photos or detailed descriptions. If you can't do better than that when you post a gun on this site, you may as well just trade them in & take your beating.

The Singer is a mediocre quality, Spanish made, personal protection pistol, dating to the W W I era. Even in excellent original condition, it would be it would only be in the $100-$200 range, at most.

The Model 9, is something else again. Depending on condition & markings, it could be worth quite a substantial amount of money. I definitely wouldn't be trading it to a gunstore without finding out what it's fair market value is. My 2?.

Post quality pictures of it, so we can give you a better idea of it's value.

I have a 9 and it's sure safe to shoot.
It's known as the smallest .25 auto made and is also the most collectable of the old Walthers.
I saw one sell at auction in 90% for $500.

Troll reply but I was looking for selling prices on a Walther Model 9. Mine is a 1941 in 95%, appears to have never been fired. If you still have it, don't sell it! I have shot mine to test it out and it worked without a flaw. I cleaned it up, polished it and put it in the safe with the rest of my WWII pieces. I've been offered $800 most recently for it but won't give it up.

    Never leave home without gun!
