so i'm needing a new stock for mine. which firearm mfg. really made these guns? from what i've read, could be High Standard, Winchester, or another. thanks in advance.

High Standard model 200 ,,same thing.

There were a number of different Sears J. C. Higgins Model 20's. All were made by High Standard. The Sears model 20 production ended and was superceded by the Model 21. The High Standard model 200 was produced several years after the Sears model 20 was discontinued and is a different design series. Some parts are common and some are not which is the reason for teh different design series designation.
