Remington trigger

I recently read that Timney has a trigger fix for the 870 shotguns. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it worth the money? Can it be used on the 7400/7600 rifles?

What trigger would you recommend for a Remington 700 BDL? (Early) Not modified for the bolt lock by Remington yet. May be later. Used mostly for target shooting. Want something in the neighborhood of 2 to 2 1/2 lbs that would still be safe to carry. Am I asking for too much? Thanks [:)]

There is an article in this month`s American Rifleman about the fix.
I too would like to know if it would fit any other guns such as my Rem 572. According to Timney`s website it only fits the 870 but I wonder.

IIRC, years ago the Olympic/International shooters used Rem. 760's in .222 Rem. for the running boar event. A special trigger was made for these cornshuckers which had a clean break and consistent pulls. My memory doesn't go past that much. Maybe some of the really old-timers will remember something more.
