I have aquired a very old shotgun the gunsmith is L. Dieter. I believe this gun was made in Munich or Munchen, Germany, during the late 1800's to early 1900's it has lots of gold inlaid engraving on it. I am interested in knowing whatever history I can about it and also an estimate of value. I can e-mail lots of detailed pics. of the gun the barrels are damascus. Thanks for your help.

    randy vk,

    Welcome to the Gunbroker Forums!

I have removed your phone numbers from your post since this could lead to problems which you don't need. We use the in-house e-mail system for communication outside of the forums so you could e-mail your phone numbers to other members if necessary.

Look up at the top of this forum where you should see a 'Sticky' titled 'Posting Photographs' which should get you started with the simple process of getting images to show up in your posts. If you have questions or problems, use my e-mail located in my profile.

    Best.

The only information I have on the name is a one line entry in my reference book which reads:
"L. Dieter Hofbuschmacher in Munchen (Munich)
German gun maker from 1875 to 1886."
