hi,anyone bought/shot one of the dsa AR type uppers?seems like a pretty good price,who makes the components?thanks

    You're looking at the $275.00 (about) 16" barreled upper with no BCG, right? Don't know who makes them but a friend has one and it's fine. DSA generally sells good quality even if, in this case, they may not actually manufature the item.

    Unlike late 2008 and most of 2009 when things were tight, I suspect the AR market is pretty well flooded and that's what prompts the deal.

    It is a decent deal, not a smoking deal. $275 for the upper + ~$150 for bolt/carrier/charging handle = $425 which is close to most inexpensive uppers now days.

    A friend of mine just ordered one to use with a .22 kit. He has not got it yet so I can not comment on it.
