WHAT SCOPE BASE HAS ANY ONE USED ON THESE WEAPONS?

Welcome to the forum...not sure why you want to scope an AK47? Their accuracy isn't worth the waste of a scope.

Several years ago I bought a WASR-10 on impulse, and it was equipped with a side rail. A few weeks later I found a scope mount like this one -

Works for me! I agree with 5mmgunguy, the AK platform is not inherently accurate, but my "senior citizen" eyes don't do so good with iron sights anymore.... I had an old Singlepoint red dot sight laying around, so why not?

I have done a few different things with scope mounting AKS.

This one requires a side rail bracket, these are probably the best side brackets available.

TWS, I got one of these with the flip up peep, it works great for me. It doesnt require a side rail bracket, but the ak has to have a standard non folding stock trunion.
