Does anyone have any know anything about this Meleor rabbit eared double shotgun? I have recently aquired it and would like to get some information on it. Looks to be a 12 ga . I beleive it is a Spanish double but not for sure. Most likely it has damascus barrels. The only markings is the name Meleor on the right side plate. , no serial number that I can find. There is a number 614 about half way between the end of the barrel and the front of the forearm on the bottom of the barrels stamped between the barrels.

    Hornet,
Probably sold by Sears or some other hardware chain. There were tons of cheaper shotguns sold this way, with names like "White Powder Wonder", "Meteor", etc. Could very well be Spanish or maybe Belgian. Look for an "ELG" stamped somewhere. That would make it Belgian. Yes, could very well be damascus barrels. It will make a nice wall-hanger.

I have to agree with Manyguns. The name could be Metor instead of Meleor. I have a listing for that name but nothing for Meleor. Spanish gun makers are famous for changing names.
They change names about as often as you and I change socks (well me anyway).
