I have a sporter stock that I believe is either Fajun or Bishop that I am going to list on GB. I know it is for a Springfield but not sure if it is for a 1903 or 03A3. Or if the stocks interchange? I don't want to list information that is not correct. I can't seem to get pictures to work on the forum but can email pictures if it will help. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

The 03 rear sight is a ladder sight while the A3 has a peep on the rear receiver ring.
As a result, the barrel contours at the breech differ.
Google pictures of both rifles for the difference.
A third possibility is the action may have been rebarreled
    to a sporter contour.
In your picture show the inletting in a top view.

Another possibility is that it is for an 03A4, which has a slightly different bolt notch.

So, like V35 says, good photos are a must.

Thank you! Sure glad I asked. I will be doing some more research before I list this. V35, NMYERS is it okay if I email you a couple of pictures? Brian.

just to note, your commercial sporter stock will fit any of the springfields (1903, 03-a3 and 03-a4). I MAY need some slight fitting.
