PT 92 AFS good or bad????

I have the chance to buy a "like new in the box" [only 16 rounds fired}
Pt92 AFS. The woman will take $400 even for it. This appears to be about the right price. I'm saving on tax and transfer as it will be a ftf with my neighbor.
BUT, just how good are the Taurus 9mm pt92"s???? Any one with ideas or observances of them please post them. I am a 1911 .45 man for a long time, will I be unhappy if I make this my first 9mm non colt gun???
I will most likely NOT be using it for carry, just want a 9mm high cap.
pistol. Thanks Bob

    Since my disappointment with one of Taurus's Judge revolvers, that I previously owned. Wasn't impressed with their quality control or workmanship. I would check the PT 92 out as closely as possible.

    See if she will at least let you test fire it, before putting up the cash. If you can run 100 rounds of various types of 9mm through it, using all the magazines that it comes with, without problems? $400 probably will be OK, for a no paperwork, face to face deal.

    The one I have is absolutely perfect. Fired many thousands of rounds thru it and never had a problem.

    I have had two without any problems with either pistol. The first I had put thousands of rounds through, before it was stolen. The second I have had and used for years, not as many rounds, and not stolen. I have used quite a variety of ammunition through each of them, without any firing problems of any sort.

    (sigh) same ol' same ol' around here.

    A PT92 will digest 9mm ammo that a Glock or HK would choke on. This is not made-up. This is well documented fact.

    Lifetime Service warranty, except finish grips and sights, if it breaks they'll fix it for free.

    Try that with the silly Burrito.

    I have one and have shot the living bejeebers out of it, cleaned it seldom, oil it every now and then, feed it lead bullets from 82 to 148 grains plus jacketed ammo of all types.

    It is very accurate with jacketed ammo, never fails to feed or fire.

    It is a very good pistol!!!! Made on Baretta machines.
