does anyone know anything about the marlin model A pump shotgun with exposed hammer patented in the lats 1800's? Thanks No engraving

    marlin make a bunch of hammer pump shotguns with various model #'s on the same design (none of them good). check gunparts for marlin m-1898

    any idea what it is worth in fair to good condition? The stock is a little loose and the barrel is a little loose also. Thanks again

    What gage is it, is it a take down model or screwed in barrel. The 1898 shotgun had no model engraved into the top strap of the receiver all of the other models had the model engraved there. The only 1898 models that bring good money is the engraved ones and the other than 12 gage. Stright out 12 gage in good condition 200-400 in good to excellent condition or what the market will bare.
