Stevens Favorite ?

Have a 32 long Stevens Favorite rifle, looks like a model 17. Serial #19 with a 1894 Mfg. date, is it a C&R or Antique. Thanks

    Antique, made prior to Jan 1st, 1899.

    If your source of 1894 mfg. is the APR 17 94 marking, that's just the patent date, and it probably dates years later, but I believe all 1st generation Favorites are C&R.

    OK thanks guys, I know that was the Pat date, Ill go with C&R to be safe.

    You are definately safe with the C&R. It could be an antique but you have to be able to document that fact and because there are no serial number records on Stevens this is difficult to do.
