Greetings,
I have a very early 788 action in .222. MINUS the firing pin. From what I can gather It looks as though the early firing pins were a "flat" pin instead of roundstock?
Can anyone please give me some dimensions of one of the early pins so I can go about fasioning a new pin? Remington is NO help.
Thanks in advance for your help.

In case of nothing else they have a parts thing on page one, you might be able to print it and scale off of that. I did it once to make a mossberg pin.
I have a "too long" firing pin but it must be from a .44 mag bolt. Has anyone ever seen a dimensional drawing for a 788???
Thanks again,
Rodger
