RECENTLY AQUIRED 1894 WINCHESTER OCTAGIONAL BARREL TAKE DOWN IN 30 30 CAL MODEL NUMBER #880453 INDICATES PER WINCHESTER SITE YEAR 1900 MFG. BARREL HAS GOOD RIFLEING. WOOD IS ALL INTACT METAL RETAINS 10% OF ORIGINAL BLUING. RECEIVER HAS 4 THREADED HOLES FOR S TELESCOPIC SIGHT AT SOME TIME ( LOOKS PROFESSIONALLY DONE ) BARREL READS NICKLE STEEL FOR SMOKLESS POWDER.

    I have no idea where you determined that serial number 880453 was a "1900" vintage Model 1894, but you are sadly mistaken. The reality is that it was manufactured in the year 1918.

    In the condition you descibe (10% of original bluing and non-factory drilled & tapped holes in the receiver frame), it is at best a $400 rifle.
