Need a little help

Looking at a double barrel on line and asked if it was a damacus or nitro barrel the answer I was giving was that the barrels pressure proof marks are 850. Now I am really confussed any here that can help?

    A few years ago someone gave me a website to order an Ejector for a 1922 model 24 remington. If anyone has that site I would be grateful if you can give me the info Thanks Kathie never mind i found the post thanks anyway

    I have a single shot rim fire that I want to turn into a center fire. I live in IL. and need someone that has a milling machine to make a new firing pin hole in the breach block. TY

    I have a winchester model 70 featherweight in a laminate stock chambered in 280 cal. I am told that very few of these were made! I was thinking of trading it off but wanted to know what it is worth before I made a bad trade. It has never been fired and is in mint cond. can anybody give me some idea what it is worth. Thanks!

    few years ago Remington made some rifles with a mauser type action. could someone tell me the model numbers for these?

    Well the Damascus is the way to go because of its strength.

    Sorry but the Nitro proofed barrel is better than the Damascus. The Damascus barrel is ancient technology.

    The Damascus Barrel is the Weaker Barrel...Not made to except the More Powerful Smokeless Powder Loads and Pressures of Modern Shells....

    damascus barrels are old. whispering death....hmmm, cant you see what his name implies? dont listen to him. damascus bbls with new shells can explode. capt...take note of this 'WD' guy.

    We can't fault the Young Man, as He may have been taught erroniusly that the Damascus Barrel was the Stronger of the Barrels...Thats why us Older Guys have to have the Patientce and Courtesy to teach The Kids the error of thier ways...I would like to think that WD would drop one of us Older Members a Personal Letter asking for an explaination as to why the Barrels Differ....and allowing that person to be a Teacher to Him...! and therefore learn from that experiance and become a useful and intelligent Member of our FORUM.....
