Hey, folks. I recently handled and shot Taurus 24/7 Long slide in 9mm.
Loved the gun. Thinking about purchasing it. However, putting a 100 rounds in a store from their well maintained gun is one thing. Owning one is another. I red quite a few good reviews, however, once again, the gun that is sent to a reviewer is offen not the kind of gun sold to us. Anyone has any experience with 24/7? Please, let me know

i don't have any experience with their 24/7 but i have been able to shoot their new 1911. amazing is the first word that comes to mind. keep this thought in mind, if it is a rental gun at a shop then it is exposed to much more use and abuse than you would ever be able to put through your personal firearm (unless you shoot for a living). other than routine cleaning, the shop may or may not even need to do any maintenence on it. ask them approximately how many rounds have been fired through the one you were able to shoot and if they've ever had to replace any parts. if they havent' had any problems, you probably won't either. if you can't trust them to give you an honest answer, you may want to consider going to a different shop. hope this helps. good luck

I have shot three 24/7 guns. For the money they are fine guns. Alot of Taurus naysayers here, and at one time Taurus sucked, but both my newer Taurus guns have been flawless. They may not be a Glock or an XD, but they are cheaper and a hell of alot better than a S&W Sigma IMHO.

Buy it, I don't think you will be disappointed.

just sold mine in 40 cal. had it for over 3 years, it was my 4-wheeler gun, kept it in the saddlebag on my 4-wheeler for cyotes and snakes, it took a beating on the back trails, never had any trouble with it, never did like the trigger pull to long and to hard, other than that I would recommend it to anyone, guess the 40 cal and the 9mm would be the same.It probubly only had 2500 rounds thru it though, but the last was just as good as the first. traded it for a pt101 just for the adjustable sights my oldeyes needall the help they can get. so far I like the pt101 just fine it is sa, and da in the sa mode the trigger is a lot better than the 24/7, double is about the same as the 24/7. hope this helps. will agree with the above I bought a sigma only had it 2 days traded it for the 24/7 imo it is a lot better gun than the sigma.
