I picked up a Stevens Favorite Model 1915 that was factory mismarked. It is marked a 22LR when actually it is a 22 WRF. Does anyone have any info on this gun? For example, history... value.... how many were made? Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

How do you know it is a factory mismark? More than likely, it was originally 22 LR, and someone opened up the chamber to W.R.F. after the fact.

Stevens made several hundred thousand Model 1915 single shot rifles over a 30+ year period of time. Unless the rifle is in like new condition, they are not worth more than about $125. Even if it is a factory mismarked gun, that fact does not make it worth any more $$ than an otherwise normal one (unlike coins).

    I agree w/Bert. Most likely a bubba-job.
And mis-marks are more common than one would think. I've seen many in the Savage/Stevens/Springfield where all 3 brands sold same or similiar model guns.
And I recently picked up an old H&R .22 single shot model 365,that is mismarked "The REG'LAR" on the barrel. With the correct model number below it. The REG'LAR was a different rifle.
