Hello,
I have a DOT 1942 G 33/40 that I have been thingking about selling and am wondering what would be a fair price to ask for. It has a laminated stock, sling, front sight hood and cleaning rod. The bolt numbers do not match the receiver. The stock and hand guard are laminated and the forearm has a hairline crack rearwards of the front band. The overall finish is great for its age and the barrel has strong rifleing with some light frosting. The nazi proof marks are present and there are no signs of import marks. I'll try to post some pics later.

Thank You,
Colby

The biggest single value killer is the bolt. A lot have 98k bolts in them without the scooped out bolt handle. dot is less valuable and less rare than the 945 code guns. Also laminate is a bit more common than walnut. Obviously bluing is important too, as is finish on the wood, which you don't explicitly address.

I'll give you a range of prices. I would venture $600+ for one with a 98k bolt, no rod, and no sight hood, $700 or so with an improper bolt but with sight hood and rod, $750-900 or so for one with a proper bolt but mismatched, depending on condition of course, and $1200 and on up for one all matched and with all the extras.

Thanks Jonk, this one has the scooped out bolt knob with a nazi stamp where the handle meets the body and a N9 or 6N under the handle. The stock is real nice with only a few light dings and scratches. The barrel and receiver have most of their finish present with some places being light, the butt plate and metal infront of it along with the barrel bands and bottom metal are more of a brown color.
