What distinguishes "Controlled Feed? from others?

    As soon as the round is picked up by the bolt, it is held by the extractor, etc. Push feed, the bolt just pushes the round into the chamber and the extractor doesn't grab hold until the bolt closes or is nearly closed.

    With a loaded mag:
    Point the muzzle towards the ground.
    Close the bolt 3/4 of the way
    Pull the bolt fully open
    Now close the bolt.

    The controled feed rifle will have ejected the 1st round and chambered the second one, the push feed will have the 1st round jammed in the chamber and second one trying to join it in there.

    CRF actions slide the round under the extractor, PF actions snap the extractor over the chambered round.
