Colt question...first 100 of each made reserved?

I was told by a friend that Colt will put aside the first 100 guns made... I have a Delta Gold Cup serial # GCTEN090

Am I special?!

I have heard the 100 gun thing before, but I didn't know if it pertained to ALL Colts made?

Colt won't even put aside PARTS, so they sure aren't going to put aside 100 of each model gun. That makes no sense financially.

They do, however, put aside several guns from each special order group, just in case a few are lost or damaged. After a while, they sell the leftovers to a distributor.
