38 Special Headstamp Identification

I was at the range a couple of weeks ago and another shooter gave me his 38 special brass. When I sorted it I found some brass that I have not seen before and am hoping someone can tell me where it was made and by whom. This brass is 1 fired and is brass cased. The headstamp says SME 90 38 SPL. I am assuming that like on most that 90 stands for the year but I have never heard of SME. Thanks.

My reference shows it to be contract stuff made by Sellier & Bellot.

Thank you! I believe I did see a red and green S&B box as I was throwing away targets. I would never have arrived at that answer.
