I have a Ruger #1 action. It is a 7mm that has been rechambered in a 7mm STW. The barrel is also ported. It has no stock. I bought it for a project gun. The blueing has been stripped partialy off the barrel and lever. It does need to be reblued. I am wondering what would be a good asking price for it. It function fine and has no pitting on it. Just looking for a little help.
Thanks

In the previous, #59, Brownells catalog new barreled Ruger #1 barreled actions were running about $600. As yours has been modified to STW I really doubt that you can get that for it unless it has had the barrel replaced with one 28" or longer. The 7mmSTW hull holds more powder then the 7mmRemMag and so works better in longer barrel, especially if it has been ported. If yours still has the factory 26" barrel then I doubt that it adds much value to the package. Still #1 actions are always in demand and you shouldn't have much trouble finding a buyer for it. Good luck.....

would 350.00 to 400.00 be reasonable?

If you want to list it on Gunbroker you don't need to know what it's "worth".List it with no reserve for 14 days and you'll find out.

New butt stock and forearm is about 400.00 for one of of factory quality. Subtract that price from a used gun in very good condition and that is about what they are worth. Now you have to find someone who is interested in an STW. What you have is an action for someone who wants to complete a project which is where you started when you bought it.
