I had a Heritage .22 pistol and it shot very piss poor.
Now i am asking all the experts to give their opinion on a .22 for just shooting popcans and plinking under $550. Thanks

My .22 handguns see more use than any others.
Enjoy.

As pointed out, the Rugers are a bit hard to field strip to properly clean. (Acutally it's not the take down, it's the reassembly that give most people trouble!) One rainy Saturday afternoon I got my Ruger out, sat down at the breakfast table, and field stripped then reassembled it 10 times in a row. By about the 6th reassembly I had it down pretty pat. By the 10th, I felt like I could do it with my eyes closed. I've never had an issue with it since. It's a good piece, and, as has been mentioned in other posts, it seems to digest anything you load in its magazine!

Wheelguns are fun to plink with too! [^]
