Smith & Wesson 66-1

I recently bought a model 66-1 w/ a 2 1/2 inch barrel for $325 at a local gun shop. The gun is in excellent shape and is alot of fun to shoot. The gun has B86-873-EL AGR inscribed just above the trigger. I am guesing this is a badge number. Any ideas what this is and where it is from? and does this have any affect on the value of the gun? thanks, Jim.
