Are ar15 mags usable in a mini 14? I thought I read somewhere that they could. Thank you in advance for your response

Ramline made some that would interchange. As far as I know they are the only ones that will.

Other then the ones made by Ramline for that the answer is no. They lock into the rifle in 2 very different ways.

To clarify, did Ramline manufacture these interchangeable mags to deliberately interchange? As in they had the locking set up for each?

Yes they were designed to work in both. I had two of them, they did not last very long. Both split at the seams.....both ended up in the trash. I did not buy them, they came to me as part of a trade.

Mags made for the Mini 14 and the AR rifles do NOT interchange. As mentioned Ramline made some that were supposed to work in both rifles.

I have a couple of these old Ramline mags and they will fit and function in the Mini but will not work in the AR's. It was a nice thought for marketing purposes, but was never really successful.
