What would be needed to convert a Glock 22, Walther P-99, and a Springfield XD Tactical from .40 to 9mm and .357sig?

Hello 357 Sig most likely new barrel and maybe recoil spring[:p][:)] for the 9MM most likely new barrel new slide new magazine and new recoil spring [V][xx(][:(]. The 9MM and the 40S&W have different size head & body of the case the 357Sig same head diameter and body just a necked down mouth of the case.

EDIT EDIT The Ejector and the extractor for the 40S&W and the 357 SIG along with the magazine are the same because the case head and the case body of the two rounds is the same . For the 9MM as I stated above the complete top half. (slide), (barrel), (extractor), (ejector),(recoil spring ), (Magazine), will "ALL have to be changed.

You will also need to check and see if the ejector will need to be changed. Some are not interchangeble.

    It depends on the gun.

For MOST guns, to go from .40 to 357 SIG (or vice versa) all you need to do is swap the barrel, and *maybe* the recoil spring (depends on gun and load). Mag is the same, ejector is the same.

As already mentioned, this is because the 357 SIG is basically just a necked-down .40, and the cartridge dimensions are similar. The 357 SIG round was designed specifically with this ability in mind.

.40/357 to 9mm is a whole other thing.

Because the case head is a different dimension, usually you have to switch the entire upper (that means slide, spring, and barrel), and usually ALSO the magazine (though in some cases you actually CAN get away with using 9mm in .40 magazines).

Also, for the Glock, you can get a relatively inexpensive conversion barrel that will let you shoot 9mm from a .40 gun WITHOUT changing the slide.

The problem with this conversion barrel is that because the ejector isn't tweaked the gun may eject funny. So this conversion is probably fine for practice, though maybe not so good for carry.

    Define "eject funny"

"Eject funny" means that the 9mm conversion barrel *might* eject hot 9mm brass towards the shooter. Not good if a hot spent cartridge hits you in the face during an emergency.

Anyway, video review of one such barrel here:

You can buy it here for about $100:
