Working on Brit. 303 jungle carbine. Need to know how to remove buttstock. The hole is bored out half way down then goes to a smaller hole. There seems to be a screw or bolt connecting but not for sure what it is. Does anyone know what they used to connect with? Thanks

there is a large screw/bolt holding the butt stock and receiver together. you will need a large, long screw driver to remove it. there may be some 'junk' blocking the screw head.

IIRC, thats what the 14 inch flatblade screwdriver I keep hanging all the way to left on the rack is for. Try to find one with a square shaft- lets you put a wrench on the flats of the shaft, and control the force of turning better. All else fails, get a length of square steel rod right length, grind screwdriver tip on it, use wrench to turn.

I know about the long screwdriver, the bolt and maybe some junk but my problem is WOOD. Seems to be a wooden plug or something with a small hole I can see the bolt. Just wondering if I was missing something, about this model.
