Ive had a few guns passed down to me from a couple generations.. I know limited information about guns. I know its a winchester's repeating arms new haven kings improvement patented march 29 1866 october 16 1860 model 1873 serial number 188363 b thats what I can read on it.. I dont have any other info on it. there is a few markings near the sighting but not sure what it says.. Does anyone know estimated what its worth is? or any information about this gun?Ok.. looking at the top... it says... 44 cal. I remember my dad saying something about 44-40 but when i was looking I didnt see anything really about it so i figured he didnt know.. but I guess he did HAHA.. hmm the lenght of the barrel.. well from the chamber cage to the end it is 24 inches from the cock to the end of the barrel it is 30 inches.. I'll try and get pics but the gun itsself is so dark its hard to get pics.. Ill try and go outside in the light and take some with a digital camera tommorrow during the afternoon.. Yea the manf. date said 1885 for the date of it being made..My mother is wanting to sell it.. Id like to tell her about how much its worth and a little more about it and then tell her that if she would wait 10 more years or so it would maybe go up even more.. and in that time I could possibly preserve it for keeping..

Hi, Jeremy..as many of us are Winchester enthusiasts, we are all awaiting pictures. Please take closeup photos of all the numbers, markings on the rifle, as well as full-length shots. Please, no out of focus closeups. You'll notice a preview button on the bottom of your message next to "post new reply". Click on the preview button before you submit. If out of focus, please submit sharp ones. Thanks..Joe
