Savage vs Marlin 22LR Bolt Action

I'm going to be getting a scoped 22 bolt action and can't decide between the marlin or savage, I'm going with one of the two. I'm looking at the marlin 925 and the Savage MKII FVXP, with accutrigger. How's the trigger pull and out of the box accuracy compare between the two? I'm just going to be punching holes in paper with it. The range I go to has a max of 100 yards. Looks aren't a big factor for me on this purchase. Just looking for a cheap, accurate shooter. Thanks for the input.

I'm sticking to 22LR because ammo is cheaper. I'm starting to lean toward the savage.

As far as the trigger goes the savage has the advantage hands down. The accu-trigger is adjustable with the supplied tool where the Marlin will require an after market trigger and extra output of cash.

I'd say go with the savage.

Now, I have a Marlin .17 HMR with a Rifle Basix trigger and it is sweet. Very accurate but I've got quite a bit of money tied up in it. The trigger alone was about $80.00 but well worth it.

My Savage 93fv (heavy barrel synth. stock) w/ accutrigger in 22mag is fantastic. I really need better glass than I have and a decent rest to take advantage of it, but an inch with CCI HP or FMJ at 100 yards isn't bad, esp. considering my skill.... I also understand that the 17hmr is the most accurate caliber of the bunch.

I have the Savage MK II FV and have been happy with it. It will shoot under an inch at 100 yds with the right ammo. Trigger pull out of the box is 2.5 pounds. I have a 6.5 to 20 power scope on it.
