I have seen osprey scopes advertised in the sportsmen guide for a relative cheap price. Anyone have experience with these, good or bad?

Well when it comes to anything with glass you get what you pay for.

It kinda depends on what is it going on and why. If your are putting it on a reasonably accurate rifle and trying to shoot any kind of distance then I would say not worth it.

If you are putting it on a cheep plinker trying to shoot 100 yards then it will probably be ok (notice I did not say good).

i made the mistake of buying one from the other auction site...this i can tell you is fact...the box the scope comes in listed osprey int'ls address at 1 location....the instruction brochure inside the box had a different address..neither address had a telephone # nor a website listed..when i questioned the seller about this, she gave me a 3rd address!!! but i did get a phone #... i've got a homepage with photos of problems with the mounts i am still trying to resolve with the seller..i'll post the link in a bit......i tried to trade the scope in on a weaver, the gunshop i frequent very often would not consider it as trade material, not 1 cent!!!!! don't buy that chinese crap

I bought one of these (at the Louisville, NRA convention) a couple of years ago for just over $100. It works well for what I paid and a couple of people that have seen it asked for info on it. I don't know if they are still in business.
