EDIT Thanks Spider for an old F**T my memory aint completely gone [;)]considering I don't own a single Winchester. I just enjoy reading your and Bert H post along with the wealth of knowledge from others on these forums .
EDIT #2HELLO POSTER Bert H can tell you What day /year your rifle was shipped and what length barrel it had when shipped ETC. HE CAN NOT TELL YOU EVERY RIFLE IN A ONE HUNDRED NUMBER GROUP IF YOU DONT WANT TO GIVE HIM THE SERIAL NUMBER HOW CAN HE GIVE YOU THE INFORMATION YOU ASK FOR. WHY EVEN POST YOUR QUESTION[V][:(!][xx(][:(][:o)]
Starting in January 1934, a 20-inch barrel was offered in both the Sporting Rifle and Deer Rifle variations. It did not take long before the shooting public began referring to them as "Carbines", though Winchester never officially did so. Today, collectors refer to the Model 64 as follows;
1. Sporting Rifle
2. Deer Rifle
3. Carbine (Sporting Rifle w/20-inch barrel)
4. Deluxe Carbine (Deer Rifle w/20-inch barrel)
Thus far, I have surveyed a total of (370) Model 64s, with (28) of them being Carbines (10.33%), and (21) Deluxe Carbines (7.75%).

I would like to know more about your Model 64 Carbine[:)]. If you will provide me with the serial number, I can provide you with an accurate date of manufacture.

Bert can give you more accurate information if you remove those xx's and post the complete serial number.
