i was given this pistol by a coworker as partial payment of a loan. i looked up astra unceta, and have found that best i can tell they are out of business.
it kind of looks like a walther ppk, and a bersa (i forget the model) that a friend owns. is there any conection to either company.

You are correct, Astra is no longer in business.

Dozens of companies made copies of the Walther PP/PPK design, & this is just one of them. No relation to any other company, & it's unlikely that parts from any other company will fit.

The Astra Constable was a well-respected automatic back in the 1970's after PPK pistols were banned from import. It's a good gun.
