I have two Winchester model 63's and both have an "A" after one of the serial numbers. Would someone tell me what this means? Thank you.

The "A" designates a change to the original design. Winchester frequently used a letter designation to denote mechanical changes on many different models, starting with the Model 1873. I do not know what the specific mechanical change was to the Model 63 receiver group.
