OEWG is Austrian (Oesterreichische Waffen Gesellschaft). DEFINITELY not a WW1 Berthier- looks nothing like it. Am going to WAG something fairly rare and fairly old, perhaps a Werndl or very early Steyr... will look in my books when I get home.

EDIT: I think I'm pretty good if I do say so myself... [;)] See http://www.old-smithy.info/bayonets/yataghan models.htm and go down a few entries to the Werndl. Looks like you would have the unpictured model 1873.
