Savage model 30G takedown conversion

I just read an article that mentioned they had previously printed an article about how to make a simple conversion of the modle 30G into a takedown but I can't find the original article.
I have long wondered if one of the pins holds the barrel in & if it could be tapped out would the barrel slide out? Could you then make some kind of replacement pin that could slide in & out to make a takedown rifle?
Can anyone find that original article with the instructions?

I was hopeing to simply remove the pin & slide the barrel out & then perhaps replace the pin with a bolt that could be slid in & out to takedown the rifle.
At least I got the gun cheap. I don't know why but they were on sale for $100 at a local sporting goods store several years ago. I really had no need for it but sometimes I just can't pass up a bargain.
