any clue what stock this is guys some type of mark on but plate could be a crown to light to make out thanks qa56.jpg

    I tried cleaning up the inlet image.

    It's for a Mauser. Can't say which though. The image pixelates badly when I enlarge it. Couldn't even tell if for a large ring or small ring. Better, well lit images would help.

    Try searching the auction side under "Gun Parts" category with Mauser stock.

    might be right that is was military as there I numbers very lightly on but plate 5190 an a symbol above that I cant make out thanks for info will try an do better with pictures next time. still have a ton of items to go thru from this gunsmith estate thanks again mike

    Looks like a Mauser 98 stock.
