What's Special About Nambu T-94 Holster?

Hi Out There.
We have a Nambu Type 94, matching numbers, along with an original holster listed for sale and get several requests to sell the holster separately. What is so special about this holster that folk people are willing to spend so much for it? Should we sell it separately? Opinions and information appreciated.

Here's the firearm: http://pics.GunBroker.com/GB/377917000/377917576/pix229500348.jpg

Thanks,

Dave

There were two types of leather military holsters commonly used for the Type 94. Cosmetically similar, the most common was pigskin. Yours is the hard to come by, calfskin version.

To a collector this is a big deal. Personally I wouldn't break them up. A 94 with a original calfskin holster. Having been together for a least 70 years, should be kept together. IMHO.

I think you will lose money if you break up the pair.

You will make more money in the long run splitting them up.

I broke up a Luger and holster rig and got HALF of my money back just selling the holster (and kept the Luger I now have $250 bucks in).[:p]
