Sig Mosquito

I see that the Mosquito is finally available. Has anyone had a chance to handle and/or shoot one? I think I really want one but was so disappointed with the little Walther pistol, I'm a little gun shy, so to speak. No dealer around here has one and was told they don't plan on carrying any on hand until they see how it sells. Special order only.

My wife and I went shooting today for the first time in years. She fell in love with my Smith and Wesson 422 and 22A. She has a Glock 17 and a Sig 229 40 cal. She loves the fun of just shooting a 22 as we all do. Looking at buying her a Sig Mosquito. any good or bad news on these, I figured this was the place to find out before purchase. Thanks a bunch.

I have read many negative comments about this sig model. I would like to know if sig has taken care of this problem. I would like to buy one but do not want to be clearing jams and ftf. Please I have read all the bad things about this model just read the reviews. I want to know if sig corrected it.

The other spring is to be installed if shooting ammo other than CCI Mini Mags. You should have extra front sights. Follow the owners manual for lubing and good luck...the Mosquito can be very hit & miss when it comes to reliability. SIG doesn't actually make them...GSG does. I had one and it was ok but I traded it. Saw a guy at the range a few weeks ago who had one that wouldn't even run a single mag in 100 rounds without jamming. He was using CCI Minimags too.

Lots of information on the net and U Tube, regarding the Mosquito. Never had any personal experience with them, other than casual handling at the LGS.

This is a link to the SIG site on the net, where owners manuals and maintenance guides can be accessed.

Lotsa problems with them when they first came out. Apparently the newer ones have most of the bugs worked out.
I bought one that according to the seller was a lemon factory return-repair and it works just fine or me.
