Colt SP1 BCG

Would a Colt AR-15 model SP1, s/n SP128xxx, made circa 1980 have a full auto BCG? There is one on the auction side but has a semi-auto BCG including the cut out under the firing pin, and I am thinking that can't be the original BCG as the cut out would have come after the 80s, or am I incorrect?

This visual may help? Along with a bit of dicussion, fourth post down at least distinguishes the different bcg types...

Dcshooter-- do you know when the change accured, and if specific for the SP1?
(Too, if needed, my apology for linking to another forum?)

I am aware of how F/A works, and the various types of BCGs I just didn't think the cut out BCG was that early, I guess i assumed the cut out semi BCG was introduced during the AWB years.. I didn't want to bid on a rifle that may have had the BCG changed out. I was looking at a 6520 from 1986 that has the fully open tail on the BCG with the cut out under the firing pin so it makes sense.
I appreciate the responses, thanks!
The wear on the under side of the BCG pictured shows a fair amount of wear. I'd really like to see a close up of the bolt lugs to determine how much they are worn.
