Have the ammo companies been producing enough? Is it making it to the shelf?
Will the companies now resume prices ? What's the news?

Current production is at maximum capacity -- and manufacturers are working to increase that capacity, but "no," right now, production is still not high enough to meet demand.
The rimfire ammunition being produced is making it to the retail market, but sells out almost instantly if the retailers price it below the current equilibrium price -- which is higher than the "old prices" you may have been used to in the past.
I'm not sure what you mean about "resume prices" or what "companies" you are talking about, but if you are asking about the "old prices" you were used to paying for rimfire ammunition, you will (eventually) likely see the same (inflation-adjusted) pricing again when the supply catches up with demand.
EDIT #1,
I live in a rural area where their is only one Walmart in a 50 mile radius. They only get shipments of ammo, once or twice a week. On random days.
One of the local hoarders told me he gets up at 6:00 AM every morning. To be in line before 7 AM. Doesn't know if there will be ammo? But he still lines up, with all the other low life bozos.
According to him there aren't any seconds. They only sell one brick person. And the whole supply is sold out in approximately 15 minutes. If your not in line prior to 7:00, your SOL.
Most aren't horders, or shooters. They are buying it to resell at 2x profit on Facebook and other venues.
this applies to any item. if people aren't willing to pay a certain price for an item it will go down. presently people are willing to pay higher amounts for 22. until they quit paying the prices, they will remain higher. I tell people all the time to buy the 22 ammo NOW. all it will take is another panic, and these current prices will seem cheap. I don't see the price of 22 dropping " if nothing happens" for at least another year or 2. there are way too many people buying as much as they can. I have friends that are buying every time they get paid. it is money in the bank.
so, you can either quit whining and pay the current price, or take your chances that it might come down in the future.

what do you mean? there is literally tons of 22 ammo on GunBroker, you just have to pay the current price! if you want to call it gouging or scalping or whatever, it doesn't matter, it IS the current price for 22. you either pay it, or you do without!. amerika is based on a consumer driven pricing, meaning what people are willing to pay is what sets the price.

To give you an idea, over on the GD board people are talking about how they change clothes in the parking lot and make multiple trips to the counter purchasing the per-customer store limit on .22's even though the store has a large amount on hand. Wow.
At this point those of us who wish to actually shoot are still at the mercy of the get-rich schemers among our ranks.

http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/rimfire/22lr/There's an example.
I'm seeing 5.56 ball on the shelf priced under what that site shows .22LR is currently selling for.
I know this has been posted before but this list is constantly updated as depicted by the time of sampling in one column. You can check the lowest available prices easily.

Best.
you are right in the fact that I will be sitting good if there is a crisis. I have bought ammo for years, and it paid off big time. I am literally sitting on a fortune!
yes, there are a lot of whiners here. I don't quite get them? either pay the going price or SHUT-UP about it! whining and complaining will do no good! the price of ANY commodity is set by what people are willing to pay. so what if I buy ammo say for 20.00 per brick and re-sell it for 30.00 per brick. you can call it whatever you want, I call it capitalism " making money " I force no-one to buy the ammo, I have people calling me all the time to sell them ammo. they are the smart ones, as they do not want to be the one left out on the next panic.
Don't let BM or BF, or whatever his name is get to you. Just another pot stirring net troll. Ignore him, and he will just slither back under his rock.
