Gunsmith question Rem. ISS firing pin

Thanks to some of you fellows I now have my Rem. 700VS .308 bolt dissasembled. I want to get rid of the Locking mech. Should I just replace the whole firing pin assy. with a drop in factory part from Brownells, Midway USA,or can I just order a new shroud and use the same firing pin, spring, and cocking mech. that I now have . As I explained earlier, you should replace the whole assembly in order to get rid of that spring that binds inside the bolt body.
